dear kate,

boy did we have fun today!

we went to park safari and visited the zoo, drove through the safari

and played and played in the water park!

oh yes . . .

you know what else we did?

we watched a rock 'n roll show with the chipmunks!

you and mommy danced and laughed so much!

then you had your picture taken with Mr. Chipmunk!

we had a yummy picnic and nammy took tons of photos all day long!

what fun we had!

first morning in ontario!

dear kate,

this morning when i opened my eyes, i was so happy!

do you know why?

because you were here! and you were waking up at nammy's house this morning!

and guess what you had for breakfast?

no . . . not oatmeal!

you had fruit loops!!!

when your mommy was a little girl like you, i never bought fruit loops!

i always made her oatmeal!

and, of course, we will have lots of healthy breakfasts and food here . . .

but you are my little granddaughter - and that makes it special!

so . . . sometimes we can have junk food!

and when you come to nammy's house, you can have fruit loops!!!

today is the day you arrive for your summer holidays at nammy's!!

yipee!!!

i can't wait to see you at 2 o'clock this afternoon when your airplane lands in ontario!!

today we will get settled in, unpack your suitcases . . . and see everyone.

and . . . i know you'll be playing with all the "new" toys i have here!

nammy has all kinds of presents to give you too!

when bedtime comes, nammy will read you a special bedtime story

and you can wear your new jammies

and then go to sleep in your own room all decorated for you!

hmmmmm . . . what will we do tomorrow?

we'll just have to see . . .

summer fun . . .

dear kate,

yesterday was a hot, hot day here!

everyone came over, as usual, for a swim!

there was me, auntie steph, kelly

grauntie tamara, aimee, nicholas, sarah

and great-granny joy!

sometimes . . . even tinker goes in the pool!!

we all had fun splashing in the water and jumping in the pool!

i can't wait until you are here so you can play too!

you will be here in just a couple of days!!!! yippie!!!!

dear kate,

here is a picture of mommy and me taken just yesterday while mommy was visiting me here in ontario.

we were all invited to a wedding, and that is why mommy came here. her friend, becci, was getting married and mommy flew in just for the weekend!

we had so much fun - even though she was only here for 3 days!

i kept telling mommy that i can't wait for one more month until she comes back for a long vacation . . . with you!!!

when i took her to the airport to go home to you . . . i wasn't sad, because i know that in no time at all you will be coming here in an airplane with mommy!

we are going to have so much fun playing, and swimming, and doing fun things!

i can't wait! i'm counting the days!
