dear kate,
today we were chatting on skype and i was telling you about the water park that we are going to go to this summer! it is called calypso!!
look at the huge slides! and that's not all there is! there are lots of different kinds of slides too!
and . . .
a wave pool!!! a big pool with waves in the water, just like the ocean!
when we go there, we will pack a picnic lunch and bring drinks and have so much fun!
we can stay there all day long!
and, guess what?
gabe might come too! and then you can play with him there!
i can't wait for you to get here!

june is here already . . . and next month you will be here . . on july 29th!
you and i are both watching the calendar and counting the weeks!
you make sure mommy knows - "next page we fly to nammy's! yea!"
we will have so much fun while you are here! i am going to get us a pass to the water park near my house! it's called calypso . . . and it's the biggest and best water park in a-l-l of canada! just imagine that! right near my house!
every single summer that you come here, we'll get a pass so that we can go as often as we want - and stay as long as we want to! you are going to be amazed when you see all of the fun stuff there! they even have a wave pool!
we will go in the morning and bring a picnic lunch and spend the whole day having fun, taking pictures and swimming and sliding! wow!! i can't wait!
and . . . at my house you can swim in our pool and jump on the trampoline too!
tinker is still here and so are muffin and scooter!
but, guess what? do you remember what i told you about in may?
did you remember that we have chickens and turkeys now? they are getting really big now!! you can come and help us feed them in the chicken coop! by the time you get here, we will probably have some laying hens too! that means we will have to go and collect the eggs every day! you can help!
we will have lots of eggs to make omelettes and to bake with!
hey! let's bake some cupcakes while you're here! i like chocolate ones! what do you like? well, whatever kind we make - we'll decorate them with yummy icing and candies!!
and . . . oh yes . . . i haven't forgotten that you and i both like pink popsicles! and frappy likes blue ones! what kind does mommy like? i think maybe purple!! i'll make sure i have all kinds of colours for us to choose from!
only 7 weeks to go!! then you'll be here with us!
we all love you so much and can't wait to have fun with you here in super-duper ontario!

frappy and i just wanted to say how much we love you!
we are so excited about you and mommy coming in july - we can't wait!
so, today we're sending you big hugs and smushy kisses!

dear kate,
you'll never believe it! guess what frappy and nammy did today?
we went ziplining!
i bet you don't know what that is!
ziplining is when you to into the forest and climb up to the tops of the trees and then fly through the air on a kind of rope from tree to tree!
you can see the picture here of frappy hooking up his zipline ready to go!
this one was just a small one! it was the first zipline on the course. the other ones were much bigger and longer!
we had to walk on tight ropes high in the air - and climb over all kinds of wooden beams and stuff! we even had to swing through the air like tarzan on a rope!!
it was fun - but, boy! - was it scary!! we were so high up!
when you get older, we will take you ziplining too! you can go with your ontario friends - and, believe me, you will have a blast!
by that time - i don't know if frappy and i will go again - but we'll watch you and take all kinds of pictures!!
you will love, love, love it!! its so much fun!

today we got some baby chicks at our house!
we got baby turkeys too!
frappy made a little chicken coop for them to live in outside - near the trampoline.
we have 31 little yellow chicks, and 10 baby turkeys!
in the picture the chicks look red and orange - but that's just because they are standing under a red light. frappy put a warm red light over them to keep them warm because they are so tiny and we didn't want them to get cold!
when you come in july, they will not look like this anymore! they will be much bigger because they are growing up every day! they will look like big, white chickens when you come! but you better hold your nose when you go into the chicken coop . . . it's smelly!!

today is hippie day at value village!
value village is a second-hand store near my house - and i love shopping there!
when i shop there, i always say . . ."you never know what you need until you find it!"
they have really neat stuff - and really great prices!
we will go there when you come in the summer and nammy will give you some money to buy something, okay? you will love it!
and guess who works there? kelly!!
she loves it! it is such a fun place to work and they do all kinds of crazy things!
today was hippie day! all of the people who work there had to dress up like hippies! so, i helped kelly get a costume ready (just like hallowe'en) and this is what she looked like . . .
isn't she funny!! i laughed and laughed!
she really had a great time at work today!

guess what?
auntie beka is getting her own apartment! that means that she will be moving away from our house here in russell, and moving into her own house! it will be a little house - but a really beautiful one!
she won't be too far from us and we can drive over and visit her while you're here! it will only take about 40 minutes to get there.
she is going to be living in quebec. they speak french there, and auntie beka is learning french too! she has a really good new job in quebec and she will be living close to her work. she can even walk to work if she wants to!
and, you know what else?
auntie beka has a pink couch!!! your favourite colour!! i think it's her favourite colour too!
that means that when you come in the summer, mommy will be able to sleep in auntie beka's old room! by then, auntie beka won't be living here. we'll have to go see her at her house! oh, i know she'll come and see us while you're here though! she is going to want to go to the water park with us and fly down the water slides with you!
i'm happy for her - but i will miss her at home!
i'll be even happier when you come though! when you and mommy get here, we'll have 2 more girls in the house!! yea!!!
