it's tea time!

dear kate,
today when we got back from calypso we decided to have a little tea party together!
so i got out my special tea pot and tea cups and we made tea!  you especially liked the sugar cubes, and you gave them a little lick before we stirred them into our tea!!
i love drinking tea with you sugar plum!

guess where we are going today????

dear kate,
guess where we are went today??
calypso!!!!!

yes!  we went on an all-day picnic to the biggest water park in canada with the highest slide in north america!!!  wow!!!
this is who went:  nammy, frappy, mommy, auntie steph ... and you!

it was a perfect day - really sunny and really hot!  mommy made sure to put lots of sunscreen on you!
we played and played and played and played ... all day long!  up and down and up and down on the slides!  the water is salt water and it smells like we are at the ocean!
what fun we had!
and, guess what?  we are going back again on tuesday!

kittens!

dear kate,
today we had a big surprise!  nammy's friend came for a visit and she brought kittens!!!  they were so adorable!  some were black and white and some were grey and white!  you really like them and decided to put them in your shopping cart to take them for a little stroll!

one little kitten was all black!  that was the one that auntie beka loved - and do you know what?  auntie beka decided that she was going to keep that little black kitty!

your first day here!

dear kate,
it's your first morning at nammy's and frappy's and you know what that means!!
it's the breakfast of champions!  lucky charms!!!
you knew right away where nammy keeps your special bowl and plate!
you knew exactly which drawer it was in!
and, you know what?  nammy bought you a new bowl and plate and cup - and it has a princess face on it!

after that we had another surprise!
nammy and frappy bought a new trampoline - and it's just your size!  we had so much fun jumping up and down, up and down!  and when nammy fell down you bounced me!!

in the afternoon we went into Embrun to a big park.  frappy and nammy and auntie beka and auntie steph went.  great granny joy went too!  and so did kelly.  
when we were there you met a new friend named mackenzie!  she was the same age as you and you both played together and had so much!  you brought your dolly and pushed her down the slide and on the swing!

at suppertime great granny joy came to see you!  we had a bbq together and then great granny joy had a surprise too!  she brought you and mommy some presents!!!  yea!!!
what a fun day we had today!
i'm so happy that you are finally here sugar plum!  we are going to have a really fun holiday together!

finally . . . you are here!

dear kate,
i've been so excited all day today!  finally . . . i'll be picking you and mommy up at the airport this afternoon at 4 o'clock!  and finally . . . i can give you a great big hug and kiss!!

it was so wonderful to see you and mommy again!  i know that i just saw you both in april when i came to cold lake for your birthday, but somehow it seems like so long ago!
anyway, now you are here and we are going to have so much fun!
today, when we came home you looked around and remembered everything about our house in ontario!  you even remembered which drawer your special bowl and plate and cup was in!  you are so smart!  wow!
when we got home from the airport, auntie stephanie was there waiting for us!  she was so happy to see you again and you gave her a big hug and kiss!
i had a surprise for you when you came!  it is a new trampoline - just your size!  we both got on it and jumped and laughed - and jumped and laughed - and jumped more and more!  whew!  i was getting tired - but you had energy to spare!  
then . . . a red car pulled into the driveway!  it was great-granny joy coming to see you and mommy!  everyone has been waiting for this special day for so long!!
then we went in to see the turkeys in their coop!  you were really surprised to see them - but, yuk - were they ever smelly!  we had to hold our noses when we went in!
next, frappy came home with kelly.  you ran outside and jumped into his arms!  and, of course, he had a candy for you!!
when we came in again, we went to see your newly decorated bedroom - painted your favourite colour - pink!  you loved it so much!  it is full of fun things like butterflies on the ceiling and lots of dolls and books!

we played with all of your toys and after that we had hamburgers and poutine for supper.
after your bath, you finally went to sleep - excited for all of the fun we will have tomorrow!
now . . . you are sound asleep and it's pretty late (12:30 am).  i think i'm going to go to sleep now too, because i'm pretty sure you'll be up early - raring to go! and tomorrow is going to be a fun-filled day!

tomorrow you're coming!!!  yippie!!!
tomorrow you and mommy will get on the big airplane and 
fly up in the sky until you get to ontario where we are!
and you'll see nammy and frappy

and uncle donny
and kelly
and even tinker!
and you'll be sleeping in your new pink room here!
and the next morning when you wake up you will have lucky charms!! yea!!
we are all going to have so much fun!
we all love you so much and we can't wait for you and mommy to get here!

dear kate,
i'm going to ask mommy to check your mailbox this week!  you know why?
because nammy sent you a pamphlet of the place i'm going to take you when you get here in just a few more days!!
do you know what place that is?
it's . . .
calypso water park!!!
i went there the other day just to check it out and see what it was like,
and do you know what?
i couldn't stop thinking about you all day while i was there!
i kept on thinking, "wow!  kate is going to love this place!"
they have a special place for you to play with a pirate ship and lots of slides!
and . . . they have a huge wave pool that you and i can play in too!  the waves are so big and it
is so much fun!
i can't wait to take you there!!
so, watch the mail for my pamphlet and you will see what it's like!
